Certified sustainable Gerkens® Asian cocoa powder now available

Our processing facility in Gresik opened in East Java in December 2014 and produces all of Gerkens® premium brand cocoa products as well as high quality cocoa liquor and butter. The Gresik plant received UTZ certification within a year and a half of opening and is already shipping UTZ certified products out to its customers. The first certified products left the facility in September.
This is a very positive step towards specialization within our cocoa offer in Asia. We know that a lot of our customers are seeking reliable partners to realize their sustainable sourcing ambitions and at the same time create differentiation for their brands. In Asia, we clearly see the Australia & New Zealand market leading the way in the drive for more sustainable products.
