2015 Progress Highlights
Sharing our progress and learning from our findings
Measuring our progress helps us demonstrate our impact and understand what does and does not work so that we can evolve our approach accordingly.

Our areas of focus
Enabling farmers to achieve a living income:
We shifted to a more holistic approach that stresses ways to improve the profitability of farmers’ businesses, rather than simply on how to support increases to cocoa yields.

We introduced initiatives to help women in farming communities become income generators and community leaders in their own right.

Accelerating transparency in our supply chain:
We continued to share information about our approach and the returns on investment our programs achieve for customers, so that they can measure the value of their investment in sustainability in terms of top-line growth or bottom-line results. We want to do more to demonstrate that our sustainability programs contribute to both.

Measuring results for farmers and their communities:
We continued to build the trust and access to information we need to measure the results of our programs – not only their reach – allowing us to understand what does and does not work and to evolve our approach in response.
