Building long-term partnerships to support our sustainability goals and those of our stakeholders
We work with a large range of organizations from small, recently formed farmer cooperatives to our customers and suppliers to financial institutions, national governments and international industry and sustainability organizations. These include ANADER, CARE International, Swisscontact, International Finance Corporation, World Cocoa Foundation, and many other valued collaborators.
Cargill is part of CocoaAction, an initiative which brings together cocoa suppliers, manufacturers and retailers to align their strategies and objectives in ways that benefit them, others in the cocoa sector, and cocoa farmers and their communities.
With each of our partners we work with differently, but always to achieve mutual benefit and to move our programs forward to the point where they become self-sustaining. Partnership is also central to our stakeholder engagement activities, helping us to understand different perspectives.
Some of our closest and most essential partnerships are with farmer organizations. Together, we evolve long-term solutions that help them do more for farmers. It is through farmer organizations that we are able to implement our many different farmer training, farm development, and community support programs which help to improve farmer livelihoods and community livelihoods.
