Cargill has helped connect farmers to markets, deliver innovative food ingredient solutions, and support customers across Malaysia, Asia Pacific and global markets since 1978. From our Port Klang facility to our Kuala Lumpur Food Application Center, our operations employ more than 560 people and are supported by strong supply chains and sustainable sourcing.

 

Activities

For nearly five decades, Cargill has played an important role in Malaysia's agricultural and food sector. Our operations include advanced palm oil processing, specialty food ingredient manufacturing, and application expertise that serve customers throughout Asia Pacific and beyond.  

Our Key Activities include: 

• Food Ingredients & Specialty Fats - Producing specialty fats and oils used in confectionery, bakery, dairy and other food applications.
• Food Innovation - Supporting customers through formulation expertise and application development from our Kuala Lumpur Food Application Center.
• Sustainable Supply Chains - Connecting agricultural supply chains with customers through responsible sourcing and production practices.
• Export & Regional Markets - Serving food manufacturers throughout Malaysia, Asia Pacific and global export markets.

 

Awards and recognition

2024: Halal white label award to Port Klang and West Port sites from The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia. 

2024: MSOSH Gold Class 1 award to Port Klang & Westport sites from the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health. 

2023: Secured the award for a third time, reflecting continuous progress in diverse and equitable career opportunities from HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia
