Cargill Cares Volunteer Award Eligibility
Eligible volunteer activities
Direct, hands-on volunteer service or group projects, including:
• A group of employees/retirees helping to serve meals at a local food pantry
• A group of employees/retirees organizing regular meals and games for children at an orphanage
• An individual employee/retiree teaching students about farm safety
• An individual employee/retiree serving as the president of a nonprofit organization's board of directors
• An individual employee/retiree mentoring a child
Eligible nonprofit or charitable organizations
• In the U.S.—Registered 501(c)(3) organizations or governmental agencies (such as a nonprofit fire department, public school, or library).
• Outside the U.S.—Charitable organizations must have a U.S. affiliate with a 501(c)(3) status or be able to demonstrate that they are an officially registered nonprofit or charitable organization in that country.
Ineligible nominations
• Cargill employees or teams whose activities are done as a part of their job responsibilities for Cargill (organizing a United Way campaign for your location, etc.)
• Individuals or groups seeking support for research, planning, personal needs or travel
• Religious organizations for support of denominational causes
• Public service, political campaigns or lobbying activities
• Fraternal, veterans or professional associations
