Habitat for Humanity International

Since 1992 Cargill has supported HFHI, a nonprofit organization utilizing volunteers to build and renovate decent, affordable housing for people in need. Cargill employees in 19 countries have volunteered to build in their local communities, using more than US$2 million provided by Cargill to build more than 250 homes.

Habitat affiliates are encouraged to contact their local Cargill facility about getting involved. All Cargill business units, locations and joint venture partners are eligible to apply for HFHI grants up to US$10,000. In order to apply for a Cargill grant, local HFHI affiliates should work with the local Cargill manager and project coordinator to discuss the parameters of the project, recruit employees to volunteer, the application is an internal application process.
