Our commitment to the world around us
Our core beliefs influence how and why we are constantly improving our processes, how we treat the environments within which we operate, and how our employees give back to the communities in which we live and operate. Here are several ways we are doing our part to minimize our footprint while maximizing the positive impact we have on the world.
By continually improving our processes, we aim to make a difference in our facilities and within our communities. We believe in being good corporate citizens and set high standards for everything we do. It's all part of our commitment to corporate responsibility and accountability.
We give back to the communities where we live and work through a number of charitable efforts. One of the major ways we do so is through Cargill Cares, an internal organization consisting of 300 separate local councils across our facilities around the globe that have collectively accounted for more than 100,000 hours of volunteer service and millions of charitable contributions.
We work to preserve our environment, and we are always looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the world and our natural resources. Across all of Cargill, we've implemented systems and processes that help us operate more efficiently, like utilizing packaging made from post-consumer materials, water recycling, better supply-chain management to reduce emissions.
