Supplier registration
Thank you for your interest in Cargill’s Supplier Diversity Program. If you are a diverse supplier as defined in our Supplier Resources page, and would like to proceed with registering, then complete the three-step registration process below.
Read our Diverse Supplier FAQs' page for additional information.
Step 1
Complete and submit Cargill’s online Diverse Supplier Application Form.
Step 2
- Mail copies of all certification(s) accepted by Cargill as set forth below and/or verification(s) of your small business classification(s). Only current certifications and/or verifications will be accepted.
- For non-government business, Cargill only accepts certifications from the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) and/or Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). If your business qualifies as a certified Minority-owned and/or Women-owned Business, please mail us a copy of your NMSDC and/or WBENC certification(s).
- For federal government business, Cargill accepts certifications from the Small Business Administration (SBA). If your business qualifies as a certified Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), or HUBZone, mail us a copy of the relevant certification(s) issued by the SBA.
- If your business qualifies as a small business, women-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or service-disabled veteran-owned small business, as defined by the SBA, mail us a signed, written statement indicating which category you qualify for and, if applicable, written proof of this status, such as a copy of your honorable discharge or your VA’s certification of service-connected condition(s).
If you are uncertain as to which classification(s) you may fall under, please refer to Supplier Diversity Definitions. For more information on certifying and/or verifying your business classification(s), refer to Certification Contact Information.
Mail all current certification(s) and/or verification(s) to:
Cargill, Incorporated
Attn: Supplier Diversity
P.O. Box 5623
Minneapolis, MN 55440-5623
Upon expiration of certificates and verifications it is the suppliers responsibility to provide Cargill with a current copy of such certifications(s)/verifications within thirty calendars of expiration to remain active in our internal prospecting database. In the event a current certification(s)/verification(s) is not received within 30 calendar days of the expiration, the supplier data will be purged from the prospecting database. If that occurs, the supplier will be required to complete the three-step registration process again.
Step 3
Mail (to the above address) two copies of your company’s technical materials, with special emphasis on providing technical material detailed and sufficient enough for those in buying positions to make informed decisions about the product(s) and/or service(s) your company offers.
Upon receipt of a complete and accurate supplier diversity registration form, certification(s) and/or verification(s), and your technical materials, we will review the entire three-step submission. If your submission is complete, you will be notified via e-mail that your company’s information will be entered into our supplier diversity prospecting database where it can be considered by Cargill buyers and procurement professionals for future purchasing opportunities.
Completion of all three steps in our registration process should be completed within 30 calendar days from the date the online application is submitted. Failure to complete all three steps within 30 calendar days will cause the supplier data to be purged from the system and require the supplier to re-register at a later date.
Notwithstanding the forgoing, it is the responsibility of the supplier to keep information as requested above current. It is highly recommended to update all of the above information each year upon receipt of a new certification.
