Cargill Cares Councils

Cargill Cares Councils are employee-led groups that implement strategic community involvement activities on behalf of their businesses.

While councils vary in structure, size and leadership, they all share the common goal of ensuring that Cargill is investing its financial and human resources in our communities to help meet our business objectives. Some of the roles and responsibilities of a Cargill Cares Council include:

  • Identify needs in the community and align them with business interests,
  • Plan and promote individual and group volunteer opportunities,
  • Allocate charitable funds,
  • Identify opportunities for employees to engage in civic activities,
  • Communicate Cargill’s efforts in the community, and
  • Evaluate the impact of Cargill’s efforts in the community.

More than 250 Cargill Cares Councils in Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe, Latin and North America contribute thousands of volunteer hours and millions of charitable dollars.
