In 2009, Cargill Indonesia committed to contributing over 200,000 trees with three years’ of maintenance as part of the One Man, One Tree program – a national government program which encouraged planting one million trees throughout Indonesia.
In May 2010, farmer groups responsible for the tree maintenance received a disbursement of the maintenance funds. In honor of the hand-over of funds, a ceremony was held and attended by the Director General of Landscape and Forest Social Rehabilitation of the Ministries of Forestry. The Ministries of Forestry and Cargill will supervise the maintenance of the trees.

More than 60 Cargill Romania volunteers planted 800 trees by the river Danube’s side, on a public field next to the new ferry station.
