Earth Day at Cargill
Thousands of employees in more than 350 locations across 30 nations join in Earth Day activities
Growing feed and processing food depends on clean soil, water, air and sunlight. That’s one reason our employees work toward reducing our environmental impact and conserving natural resources on Earth Day – and every day.
Employees in more than 350 locations across 30 nations will participate in activities that celebrate Earth Day 2010, April 22, and World Environment Day (WED 2010), June 5. Between April 22 to June 5, 2010, employees took part in environmentally focused volunteer projects, learned tips on lessening their environmental impact and identified opportunities to collaborate with others to protect the environment.
Earth Day 2010 activities are a follow up to last year’s activities, which ranged from park and community space cleanup in Taiwan and Russia, to roadside cleanup in Canada, to river bank cleanup in the United States.
