Barliv™ barley betafiber

Cargill’s Barlív™ barley betafiber brings beta-glucan benefits to non-dairy beverages.

Barlív™ barley betafiber is a 70% pure source of beta-glucan, extracted from whole-grain barley. Unlike oat fiber, and due to its lower molecular weight, Barlív™ barley betafiber displays low viscosity, bland flavor, neutral mouthfeel and zero color impact. It is also easy to incorporate into new and existing formulations.

This opens up new options to provide an ingredient that helps reduce cholesterol in beverages, which may be incompatible with other cholesterol-reducing ingredients. Barlív™ barley betafiber has been clinically demonstrated to help maintain a healthy blood cholesterol level as part of a diet low in saturated fat.

Some Cargill products are only approved for use in certain geographies, end uses, and/or at certain usage levels.
