Manufacturing process

Our management team and plant employees are committed to a continuous improvement program in the field of production processes, purchasing and quality to sustain cost reduction and enhance value for our customers.

  • We manufacture products in modern plants using the latest extraction, fermentation, separation and drying technologies.
  • Many of our products are basic constituents used in blended formulations in which other materials (e.g., sugar, proteins, etc.) are added. We use rigorous quality criteria and targeted auditing to select the suppliers of these external blended ingredients.
  • We make no shipment before the commercial product has passed a final series of controls.

Some Cargill products are only approved for use in certain geographies, end uses, and/or at certain usage levels. It is the customer's responsibility to determine, for a particular geography, that (i) the Cargill product, its use and usage levels, (ii) the customer's product and its use, and (iii) any claims made about the customer's product, all comply with applicable laws and regulations.
