Cargill Features Variety, Functionality and Flavor at American Dietetic Association’s FNCE Expo 2006
Nationally-acclaimed Chef LaLa to conduct Z Sweet® demos at Cargill booth #1041
MINNEAPOLIS – Visitors to Cargill booths (#1032, #1040, #1041) at the Food and Nutrition conference Expo (FNCE) in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sept. 17-19, 2006, will experience a welcome worthy of the Aloha State – full of interest, variety and flavor.
Dietetic professionals who visit the booths will have the opportunity to sample and learn about a host of Cargill offerings important in the nutrition and health arenas. Featured Cargill products include sweeteners, meats, health-promoting ingredients, beverages and eggs.
Cargill Sweetness Solutions will sample and showcase a number of products that contain Cargill’s innovative sweeteners, including Stonyfield Farm® light smoothies and yogurts; Honest Tea® tangerine green 10 calorie iced tea; chocolate mint and strawberry bars with Xtend™ sucromalt; Accelerade Gel with trehalose; Sweet Simplicity™zero calorie, 100 percent natural tabletop sweetener containing Cargill erythritol; and, served on fresh fruit, Z Sweet® zero calorie, 100 percent natural sweetener containing Cargill erythritol.
Nationally-acclaimed chef, television personality and nutritionist, Laura Diaz Brown (known as Chef LaLa), will conduct several demonstrations with Z Sweet® sweetener at Cargill’s booth. Chef Lala also will conduct cooking demonstrations at the Z Sweet® booth (#323).
“Bars and beverages with Xtend™ sucromalt, a slow release carbohydrate, offer consumers the highly desirable benefits of sustained energy release and lower glycemic response,” said Anne Mollerus, global product manager, Cargill.
Cargill Meat Solutions will feature a Honeysuckle White® cooked turkey breast that is high in protein and low in sodium; easy-to-use, portion controlled frozen steaks, cooked roast beef and pot roast; high flavor but low cost turkey pot roast; and TNT™ beef and turkey burgers that hold for up to three hours on a steam table.
Sunny Fresh Foods will feature a full line of pasteurized egg products, including refrigerated and frozen liquid egg products, hard cooked eggs, and the industry’s most extensive line of precooked egg entrées. Sunny Fresh products are made using farm fresh, pasteurized eggs for outstanding flavor and freshness.
Cargill Juice North America will feature a line of frozen and shelf stable beverage products (containing pure, low and zero juice) as well as coffee and tea. In addition, Cargill will showcase Moo Café, a product line including shelf stable cappuccino and hot chocolate.
Cargill Health and Food Technologies will feature heart-healthy consumer products containing CoroWise™ Naturally Sourced Cholesterol Reducer™ brand of plant sterols. CoroWise™ plant sterols have been clinically shown to lower cholesterol, and products containing them are eligible for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) health claim: foods containing at least 0.4 g per serving of plant sterols, consumed twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 0.8 g, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
