Horizon Milling and Boys & Girls Club Work Together to Nourish Local Children
Saginaw, Texas – To help feed greater numbers of children in the Greater Fort Worth area, Horizon Milling has donated $7,000 to the local Boys & Girls Club to support the “Food for Thought” program.
The program recognizes the academic achievement of youth participating in the Boys & Girls Club by providing them with groceries purchased from a local food bank. The object of the program is to nourish local children and build their self-esteem by contributing to their family’s food supplies.
“From Horizon Milling’s generous support, we are able to provide an enriching program for youth from in need of good nutrition,” said Mary Perez, location manager for the Boys & Girls Club. “This grant is another way Horizon Milling is helping to support our community’s most valuable resource – our children.”
“Our employees are pleased to make this donation to the Boys & Girls Club to help feed hungry children, ” said Pete Tuchscherer, project engineer, Horizon Milling. “Supporting the Club is just one way that Horizon Milling seeks to nourish people and possibilities.”
