Cargill Announces Purchase Agreement with Eagle Milling Company, Inc.
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. — Cargill Animal Nutrition has signed a purchase agreement with Eagle Milling, Incorporated. Cargill will purchase certain assets of the feed milling and the pet and animal wholesale products business. It is anticipated that the sale will be finalized in early November, pending approvals and due diligence activities.
Cargill will combine its nutritional technology and management systems with Eagle Milling’s strong customer base and market presence. “Cargill is committed to the growth of its animal nutrition business, and sees great opportunity in the Arizona marketplace. Eagle Milling strategically fits with our objective to grow our U.S. animal nutrition business,” stated Matt Budine, general manager of Cargill’s Pacific Coast animal nutrition business, which will now include the Casa Grande location. “Eagle Milling is a successful and growing business particularly in the distribution of farm store products and production of dairy feed. The addition of Eagle Milling provides a complement of talented people, strong brands and geographic distribution to support our growth objective.”
