Cargill Helps Support Education at Schuyler Central High School
Schuyler, NE – To help high school students enhance their education, Cargill has donated $15,000 for new equipment students need to participate in the Mechatronics Training program at Schuyler Central High School.
Cargill’s funds will be used to purchase new computers for the Mechatronics program. Mechatronics is the combination of mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, and software engineering. Cargill will not only help fund the equipment necessary to participate, but Cargill employees will donate their time by conducting a hands-on training for the Mechatronics program at the school.
“From Cargill’s generous support, we are able to provide our students with the latest materials needed for higher education,” said Edward Fejfar, Schuyler High School counselor. “Now students will be better able to participate in the Mechatronics Training program. We would not have been able to provide the most up-to-date equipment without Cargill’s help.”
“Cargill is proud to work with Schuyler Central High School to enhance educational opportunities for the students in the Mechatronics Training program,” said Bill Rupp, Cargill Beef business unit leader. “The future success of companies such as Cargill, as well as our community, depends on the ability of young people to learn the important skills gained in the Mechatronics training program.”
