Cargill Helps Promote Education at Cochrane Middle School
Charlotte, NC – To help enhance math and science curriculum with hands-on activities, Cargill has donated $1,200 to Cochrane Middle School.
Cargill’s funds will be used to purchase math and science materials that will help make the current curriculum interactive and impactful to the students. The funds will also be used to help develop the school’s outside classroom and garden, which is used to integrate the math and science curriculum.
“With Cargill’s support, we are able to strengthen our math and science programs,” said Theresa Gilmore, sixth grade teacher at Cochrane Middle School. “This can help students develop problem-solving skills that will prepare them academically for challenges they may face in the future.”
“Cargill is proud to work with Cochrane Middle School to enhance educational opportunities,” said Jody House, facility superintendent, Cargill Charlotte. “The future success of companies such as Cargill, as well as our community, depends on the ability of young people to learn about important subjects, such as math and science,” said House.
