Cargill Promotes Early Education with Donation to Kidquest in Aplington
Iowa Falls, Iowa – To help provide local children and families with a high-quality child development program, Cargill is donating $4,000 to Kidquest Child Care and Preschool, a center that assists parents by providing kids with a “Learning and Loving” Environment. The Aplington Kidquest facility has 90 children enrolled and offers preschool, Head Start and before- and after-school care.
Cargill’s funds will be used for educational tools for Kidquest, including alphabet and number activity mats, puppets, and puzzles. Kidquest will also use the funds to help eliminate its mortgage.
“Thanks to Cargill’s support, we are better able to serve families in our community and help the children enrolled in our programs reach their maximum potential,” said April Peters, director’s assistant and pre-school teacher, Kidquest . “That helps improve our community as a whole.”
“Cargill is proud to work with Kidquest to enhance educational opportunities for children,” said Ruth Bouillon, Cargill Cares representative. “This grant is another way Cargill is helping to support our community’s most valuable resource – our children.”
