Cargill to feature innovative application development capabilities at Worldwide Food Expo 2007

MINNEAPOLIS –Cargill will showcase an array of application development capabilities at the Worldwide Food Expo show, Oct. 24-27, in Chicago. Worldwide Food Expo is the year’s largest food and beverage processing and packaging event in the world, featuring 1,000 of the world’s leading suppliers.

Visitors to Cargill’s booths (#S5743 Dairy), (#N141 Meat) will have an opportunity to sample and learn about a variety of prototypes that address both consumer needs and food manufacturers’ formulation challenges in meeting those needs. Featured prototypes will include chocolate coated ice cream bars, delicious low-fat frozen yogurt, pumpkin pie flavored gelato, sodium reduced beef sticks, and many more.

Cargill technical and marketing representatives will be available to share insights and expertise on how Cargill partners with customers to develop differentiated new products or enhance existing ones.

“At Worldwide Food Expo, we will demonstrate how we can help our customers achieve their business goals by partnering with them to satisfy unmet consumer needs,” said Paul Hillen, vice president of marketing, Cargill Food Ingredients and Systems, North America. “For example, we’ll feature reduced sodium beef sticks that provide less sodium, yet deliver the same great taste and saltiness of regular snacks.”
