Cleveland, Ohio – To help fifth-graders at Lincoln Elementary School gain valuable environmental education experience, Cargill donated $3,200 to help students participate in the Mohican Outdoor School.

The Mohican Outdoor School provides a resident outdoor/environmental education program enriching all phases of elementary and middle school curriculum. The fifth-graders will have the opportunity to learn by hand-on experiences and gain awareness, understanding and an appreciation of the natural world and how it will enrich their lives today and in the future.

“From Cargill’s generous support, children will have the opportunity to gain positive educational experiences in an outdoor setting,” said Eileen Shestina, president of the Lincoln School PTA. “This grant is another way Cargill is helping students to meet the continuing challenges of a changing world through a supportive environment.”

“We are excited about this opportunity to support Lincoln Elementary School,” said Mary Anne Hatfield, Cargill Cares representative. “This contribution represents another way that Cargill strives to nourish people and possibilities in the community.”
