Through our steel service centers in the United States and China, we provide our steel customers with their just in time steel needs and link high quality steel mills with consumption markets around the world. 

United States - service centers and distribution

CFI operates seven steel processing service center locations across the United States, providing significant liquidity and insight into the North America ferrous market. Our service centers encompass over one million square feet. All located on or near water for efficient market access. We are considered one of the largest hot rolled players in each market we serve. Through our hot rolled network we sell coils, pickle and oil, slit, cold reduced, stretcher level, cut-to-length sheet and plate. We have all of these products available for immediate delivery to meet our customers needs.

China - service centers and distribution

In January of 2011 Cargill will begin operating its first Chinese steel service center with its joint venture partner Runfei. This service center will be located in the Tianjin region of China and provide cut-to-length hot rolled coil sheets on a just in time basis. Cargill also has a China domestic trading business where we store master hot rolled coil serving the Shanghai and Guangzhou regions.
