Paperboard HemiForce™ Solutions

HemiForce™ enhanced fiber additives, created using renewable agriculture seed-based fibers with a patented process, provide the packaging and paperboard industry with the ability to increase strength and fiber retention in products while maintaining or improving manufacturing costs and efficiencies.

Eliminating added chemicals and processing time, HemiForce™ enhanced fiber additives can be added into the paper mix during many optional stages in stock preparation or in the wet mixture. Paper properties demanded by customers can be achieved with the increased fiber-to-fiber bonding from HemiForce™ while using recycled fibers and reduced softwood fibers.

HemiForce™ product quality improvement benefits depend upon application:

  • Basis Weight Reduction
  • Ring Crush
  • Scott Bond

Paperboard Application Results in Trials

HemiForce™ enhanced fiber additives have consistently generated manufacturing gains over several packaging paper and paperboard grades in production environments. These results are specific to the individual mills and may not reflect the expected benefits for all applications.
