Cinta Azul is a business with a dedication to meat processing and sausage preparation. Since its foundation in 1960, the company has built a solid reputation among consumers based or quality product and tradition. In 1999 it was acquired by Sun Valley Foods Central America.
Cinta Azul’s vision is to become a leader in the market providing its clients with refrigerated food products. Presently it is the leading sausage manufacturer in Costa Rica. Cinta Azul has a production capacity of 160 tons per week, offering a wide variety of products, satisfying the tastes and needs of its clients through its trademarks: Cinta Azul®, Premier® and Castillo del Roble®.
During 2003, Cinta Azul increased its distribution network by 35% and opened two small distribution centers in the interior of the country in order to be able to reach more clients and to service the traditional market.
