Cargill began operations in Greece in 1954 through an agency agreement with Diamandouros Brothers Ltd. In 1981, when Greece joined the European Common Market, Cargill EPE was formed. However, the agreement with Diamandouros Brothers continues to exist and almost all Cargill import/export business with Greece is channeled through them.

Cargill has activities in the following areas in Greece:

- grain and oilseed trading

- non-grain feed ingredients

- wheat gluten trading
