Peru
In Peru, Cargill has a grain and oilseeds trading office as well as three animal feed production plants, based in Lima, Chiclayo and Arequipa. Cargill Peru employs approximately 140 people.
We have been in Peru since 1963, when Pesquera Delfin S.A. and Bolicheras Unidas S.A. were established to produce fishmeal. Since that time, Cargill has been involved in many businesses, including agricultural commodity trading, coffee exports, sugar, fishmeal trading, and more.

Cargill investments in Peru
- 1963 – Cargill invested in the fishmeal business, buying Pesquera Delfín S.A. that merged with Bolicheras Unidas S.A.
- 1965 – Pesquera Delfin S.A. merged with Agencia Maritima Internacional and formed Cargill Peruana S.A.
- 1984 – Cargill began exporting Peruvian coffee
- 1999 – Cargill bought Agribrands Purina Peru S.A. as part of its worldwide acquisition of Purina businesses
