Agriculture
Cargill Animal Nutrition animal feed is marketed under the Macol®, Purina and Cargill Animal Nutrition brands through two plants (Alverca and Cantanhede) in Portugal. Products include feed formulations for a range of commercial livestock - beef and dairy cattle, poultry, rabbits, sheep, swine and horses - as well as merchandising of feed for domestic pets including cats, dogs and birds. Operations are co-ordinated with Cargill's Animal Nutrition division in Spain.
Trading
Commodity trading in Portugal includes fertilizers, grains and non-grain feed ingredients (NGFI), and is conducted through Cargill's Iberian trading base, part of the Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain Europe in Barcelona.
