Galleon has been used in more than 100 trials around the world to analyze nearly 30,000 samples, employing artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced statistical modeling techniques to determine the most important bacteria linked to performance, pathogens, and food safety.

How do we do it?
Galleon uses microarray technology for sample analysis, which allows us to gain insights on bacteria in a relatively short amount of time compared to other techniques like PCR – which is too limited as it is only possible to look at a few bacteria at a time. AI is used to identify which bacteria need to be represented on the microarray and that are biomarkers for performance, preharvest food safety, pathogens, etc. These biomarkers are selected from a database that is based on sequencing.
So, How do I start using Galleon?
We have designed this process to be as easy as possible for you. In the five-step process, first you will meet with your local Cargill Galleon Representative. After that, all you need to do is collect cloaca samples and send them back.
