Cargill Cares Wichita
Employees and retirees from more than 350 Cargill Cares Councils around the world contribute more than 100,000 volunteer hours and millions of charitable contributions. The Cargill Cares Councils are employee-led groups that implement strategic community involvement activities in their local communities.
The Cargill Cares Wichita, KS Council is an employee-led council that aims to accomplish its goal of nourishing the people and possibilities that reside within the greater Wichita community. The council manages monetary and in-kind grants as well as coordinating volunteer opportunities for Cargill employees.
- Food Security and Nutrition: We support partners and programs working to address hunger, improve nutrition and increase agricultural productivity.
- Education: We support organizations and programs that improve access to quality education through improving academic achievement, improving technology and focus on primary and secondary education for children; support for ag education and building skills in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
- Environmental Stewardship: Projects that protect and improve accessibility to natural resources; and promote sustainable agricultural practices in our communities and supply chains.
- Employee Involvement: Special emphasis will be given to those organizations that have the involvement and support of Cargill employees.
