Proven performance
Not all erucamide additives perform identically. Cargill has been reliably producing Optislip ER from rapeseed crop supply for nearly 60 years. It is carefully managed to yield a lipid profile which is shown to offer significant advantages in slip performance compared to erucamide from other sources.
Shown: Optislip ER offers a greater reduction in COF in 40 μm LDPE film compared to alternatively sourced erucamide at the same 500 ppm dosage – even those which claim higher nominal erucamide content. The distribution of chain lengths impacts how efficiently the additives form a lubricating layer on the surface.
