In response, Cargill is doubling the CWSS production capacity at its Pandaan plant in Indonesia to better support the manufacturing needs of its customers for the use of CWSS in their products. The Pandaan plant first began producing CWSS in 2017 and has increased our relevance to our customers in Asia with shorter delivery lead times, higher supply reliability and more cost competitive and Asia-focused products. Expansion is expected to be completed by May 2021. 

As the first company producing CWSS in Asia, this investment underscores Cargill’s drive to position itself as a trusted and innovative food ingredients company offering a diversified portfolio of specialty solutions, including modified starches, to customers in the region. It affirms our confidence and commitment to grow further in Asia, and to play a key contributing role to meet the changing consumer demands of the region as a leading global market for F&B consumption.

This expansion in Asia adds to Cargill’s global footprint of CWSS manufacturing capabilities, complementing our existing lines in NA and EU to drive our industry leadership in texturizing solutions as we continue to supply customers around the world with innovative products and services.
