In 1965, Cargill began to commercialize grains in Mexico. Thanks to the wide knowledge of the agroindustrial markets that distinguishes the company, Cargill quickly managed to position itself as one of the main suppliers of the country’s biggest food producers. Cargill currently participates actively in the country's agro-food chain.
Cargill Mexico aims to contribute to improving agricultural productivity, satisfying and fulfilling the expectations of the domestic industry. In addition to adding value to human and animal nutrition and thus encourage economic development, Cargill Mexico reinvests its profits in several new businesses in the country.
Cargill has three business units operating in Mexico: agricultural, food and specialites. The company has a total of 20 facilities in 11 states, including a corporate office in Mexico City.
At Cargill, we know that our ability to feed the world depends on farmers being successful at every production level, from the commercial scale to the small producers. Therefore, we work directly with them each year to help them produce more food in a sustainable way, reaching more markets, benefiting from fair prices and improving their living standards.
