Make the weaning period less challenging.
Provisoy™ uses multiple modes of action to help piglets efficiently digest protein, enabling optimal gut health, improved stool quality, uniform growth, and more profit potential.
The challenge: Diet changes during weaning and trade-offs with soybean meal
An underdeveloped gastrointestinal system during weaning makes piglets more susceptible to disease and stress. Piglets need diets high in protein to meet protein synthesis requirements but are not able to digest the elevated levels of dietary protein. When high levels of undigested protein flow into the hindgut, they may ferment and lead to gastrointestinal disorders that can and reduce health and growth.
Soybean meal (SBM) is the most widely used vegetable protein source in pig diets. However, a significant trade-off is that SBM has an inherent structure and contains antinutritional factors which can reduce its digestibility.
Our solution: Provisoy
This novel soy specialty ingredient has demonstrated to help:
- Reduce fermentable protein levels to support gut health and consequently improve stool quality
- Support improved protein digestibility without removing oligosaccharides from SBM
- Promote uniform growth especially for challenged pigs
