PriolubeTM EF 3446 is a fully synthetic dielectric ester base oil. It has exceptionally low viscosity while offering low wear and very low traction. Suitable for creating efficient, next-generation transmission, e-axle and gearbox lubricants, it is compatible with Group III and Group IV base oils, industry-standard elastomers and copper and is highly oxidatively stable.
Priolube EF 3446 is also suitable for formulating low viscosity cooling fluids for motors, batteries and power electronics.
The value we bring
Low viscosity
Outstanding traction reduction
Excellent load handling capabilities
High biobased carbon content and biodegradable*
See double-digit traction reduction- the effect of adding Priolube EF 3446 to Group III and IV base oils
In Group III, adding 20% Priolube EF 3446 reduced traction by an average of 26% across the complete slide roll ratio vs untreated Group III. In Group IV, the average reduction was 11%. Test was performed at 2m/s, 40°C with a 16N load.
