GST helpdesk for bakery customers by GEOS India

In July 2017, India shifted its multi-layer indirect taxation system to a Goods and Services Tax system (GST). This move impacted a number of small and medium enterprises who were impacted due to lack of information and their inability to hire professionals.

GEOS India Tax Customer Service In line with its commitment to bring added value to customers, the Cagill global edible oil solutions (GEOS) India’s brand - NatureFresh Professional™ - launched a helpline for its bakery customers, to provide information on GST and resolve queries.

“We are very thankful to NatureFresh Professional™ for providing us access to rich and relevant source of information on GST,” said Madan Karnde of Balaji Bakers. “Clarity on this new taxation form was missing until this helpline was introduced. All we have to do now is pick the phone and ask the GST expert.”

The helpline was promoted to more than 2,500 bakers through online and offline communications. GEOS India further plans to conduct outbound calls through this helpline for understanding if the transition has been smooth for customers and if there is any other support they seek.
