Our live animal initiatives focus on creating a constant supply of high-quality raw material. From the way we select cattle to the research we do to maximize each animal’s potential, we’re committed to finding new ways to ensure that our raw materials meet the highest standards of quality.

  We own and operate feedlots, allowing us to maintain a quality cattle supply year-round.
• Research
  We conduct proprietary research and use what we learn to help us improve the overall quality, safety and consistency of our products. For example, we are co-developing new technology that helps determine how animals are predisposed to perform so that we can procure and sort accordingly.
• Fed beef cattle procurement
  Our procurement process uses a proprietary, computerized system that filters out inferior raw material and ensures that the cattle we select meet our high quality standards. This provides an edge over competitors, who often rely solely on individual buyers in making cattle procurement decisions.
