Your robust, reliable synthetic ester transformer oil

Unlike FR3™ fluid, our superior natural ester dielectric fluid, Envirotemp 360 fluid is perfectly suited for use in free-breathing transformers. Cargill has decades of proven performance with synthetic esters as transformer oil for distribution transformers (pole and pad types), MV/HV power transformers, voltage regulators and OLTCs, rail applications (traction, trackside, and underground), and switchgears.

In addition to its optimized oxidation stability, Envirotemp 360 fluid has a high fire point, excellent thermal and lubricity properties in diverse operating conditions, superior moisture tolerance, and is readily biodegradable (OECD 301B). These physical, chemical, and electrical properties make Envirotemp 360 fluid your solution for a synthetic ester transformer oil that is an alternative to mineral oil and can provide:

A transformer filled with FR3 fluid complies with the transformer temperature operating ranges requirements defined in IEEE C57.12.00 and IEC 60076-1.


Envirotemp 360 fluid details

nullHigh flash and fire points

With a flash point of >283°C and a fire point of >315°C, Envirotemp 360 fluid is classified as a Class-K, “less flammable” liquid.

Although its fire point is not as high as that of our natural ester dielectric fluid, FR3 fluid, Envirotemp 360 fluid is still far superior to mineral oil when it comes to fire safety. It is therefore a safer choice than mineral oil for areas where the population density is high, or for enclosed spaces where fire could damage equipment or people.

There have been no pool fires reported in transformers filled with Envirotemp 360 fluid.
