Exploiting high-tech processes

Contact Us

In addition to managing the difficulties of blending several dry ingredients with different mesh sizes and/or powder types in standard mixes, Cargill has built on its long processing experience to develop differentiated and value-added processes and technologies.

Specific high-tech processes include emulsification, dust free, spray drying and liquid blends. Our particular technologies are:

  • Emulsifier-coated hydrocolloids (integrated technology): This involves powder dispersion in melted fat that coats the hydrocolloids particles.

Your benefits: Dust-free, free flowing and easy dispersion.

  • Lecithin-on-carrier: Based on spray-cooling, this involves encapsulating any type of powder with a fat layer - straight or emulsifying - sprayed and instantaneously crystallized by very low temperature.

Your benefits: Dust free, easy dispersion, staged release of ingredients and dissolution during food processing, lower usage level.

Some Cargill products are only approved for use in certain geographies, end uses, and/or at certain usage levels. It is the customer's responsibility to determine, for a particular geography, that (i) the Cargill product, its use and usage levels, (ii) the customer's product and its use, and (iii) any claims made about the customer's product, all comply with applicable laws and regulations.
