Sector Support 

The Cargill Foundation supports organizations that strengthen the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors to improve equitable outcomes for focus communities.

Key 2025 dates for Sector Support grant applications are:

  • July 14: Applications sent to nonprofits (by invitation only)
  • August 1: Applications due
  • Mid-September: Grant award notifications

Capital Grants

The Cargill Foundation will consider capital requests (by invitation only) in our Twin Cities headquarters community.

To be eligible to apply for a capital grant:

  • Nonprofits must have received past program support from the Foundation

Requests that will NOT be considered include:

  • Endowments as a part of a larger capital campaign(s).
