About Hongfei
Hongfei Zheng is senior vice president of Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH), leading the Asia Pacific regional businesses. Since rejoining Cargill in 2020, she has been committed to building an agile and growth-focused organization, successfully leading rounds of business evolutions and guiding the team to deliver consistent growth through customer-oriented innovations.
Before her role at Cargill, Hongfei served as vice president, Strategy, Knowledge & Insights, New Ventures for Coca-Cola’s businesses in Greater China and Korea from 2018-2020. There she was responsible for corporate and portfolio strategy, consumer insights, strategic planning, new venture development, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). She also played an instrumental role in building Coca-Cola’s 2025 Greater China strategy.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Hongfei worked at Cargill as the head of Corporate Strategy and Development for Greater China. She was a member of Cargill China's leadership team and worked closely with the company’s executive team to develop APAC and China business strategies and investments. She also played a key role as a thought partner for senior leaders across China.
Hongfei also previously worked at Hilti Ltd., a European engineering solution company as marketing director of APAC and Head of Oil & Gas and Chemical Business in China from 2013-2016. Hongfei began her career at Bain & Co. for eight years, offering strategy consulting services to multinational and Chinese enterprises.
Hongfei obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Economics degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a Master’s (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) at Ecole Centrale de Lyon (France) and an MBA from INSEAD (France).
Hongfei has served as a guest professor for the University of Hong Kong for years and previously was a judge for the Women Leading Change Awards Asia-Pacific organized by CampaignAsia. She has been recognized by Fortune China as the Most Powerful Women (Future) of 2023.
Hongfei lives in Shanghai with her husband and two teenage daughters.
