Group Leader for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition Business in South & South East Asia
About Scott
Scott Ainslie is a vice president and group leader for Cargill’s animal nutrition business with responsibility for South and South East Asia, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India and other adjacent markets. He also leads Cargill’s digital solution business, which develops and commercializes digital products for the animal nutrition and health industry.
Before assuming this new role in June 2023, Ainslie was a regional managing director and vice president for Cargill’s animal nutrition business, covering Mexico, Central America, South America and India and at the same time leading the company’s global digital solutions.
Ainslie has been with Cargill since 1996, starting as a business development manager for one of the company’s largest North American animal nutrition product lines. He was also on the core team that led Cargill’s global acquisition and integration of Provimi and EWOS. During this process, he led the launch of Strategic Marketing and Technology, a new enterprise-wide function responsible for global strategy, research & development and technology application.
Over the years, Ainslie’s career with Cargill also included leadership positions in the US, Europe, Malaysia and Vietnam.
Outside of Cargill, Scott has served as a board member and finance committee member for Resource Exchange International, or REI, a non-profit focused on building education, business, and leadership capacity in emerging economies.
Ainslie holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science from Cornell University, in addition to a Master of Business Administration from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
Ainslie is married and has three children. He and his wife are now living in Bangkok, Thailand.
