About Lieve
Lieve is Group Leader for Cargill’s Animal Nutrition & Health business in EMEA, which comprises 3,300 employees and 39 production locations across 20 countries and exporting to five continents.
She joined Cargill following her graduation from the University of Leuven with a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering in Food Sciences and Nutrition.
She started in Quality and Operations, then transitioned to leading R&D in EMEA before assuming global commercial responsibilities and overseeing integration projects. In 2019-20, she was responsible for leading the transformation of Cargill’s Food Ingredients & Bio Industrial business as part of Cargill’s overall transformation program. Lieve joined Cargill Animal Nutrition in 2021.
Lieve has a proven track record in managing diverse teams, creating an inclusive environment and leading and driving change in matrix organizations. Her extensive career with Cargill has seen her serve in a number of leadership positions spanning General Management, Integration, Commercial, Business Development, Product Management, R&D, Operations, Engineering and Quality. Over the years, she has worked across different businesses in Cargill in the Food Ingredients (Sweeteners, Starches, Cocoa & Chocolate, Malt, Edible Oils), the Bio Industrial space, in the Agricultural Supply Chain as well as in Animal Nutrition.
In December 2020, Lieve also became Country Representative for Cargill Belgium and Managing Director for Cargill N.V. In addition, she serves on the board of Amcham Belgium.
Living in Belgium close to the Dutch border, Lieve is married with three children.
