Responsible soy production

Working with soy farmers, businesses and partners in the Amazon

Soy is a major global source for vegetable oil and animal feed, and global production has increased substantially over recent years to satisfy increasing demands and changing global food habits.  Brazil is now the world’s largest exporter of soybeans – representing 30 percent of global production – and its rapid soy expansion has created a greater need to protect the important and complex ecosystem of the Amazon.

Cargill is a global soy purchaser and processor of soybeans. Our operations in Brazil supply customers throughout the world. We understand why we need to respect and protect sensitive environments and are committed to working with a wide range of stakeholders, including The Nature Conservancy, to develop lasting solutions to ensure that soy is grown in a responsible and sustainable manner.

We work with soy farmers, businesses and community partners to foster sustainable economic development, provide meaningful impact in communities and promote responsible business practices throughout supply chains.
