Emollient Mapping – Create the ideal emollient phase
From light oils to esters, to butters, and waxes, Cargill Beauty offers a broad range of nature-derived emollients for personal care applications. Sourced from botanical sources such as jojoba, cocoa, shea, sunflower, macadamia or moringa, our emollients can perform various functions in cosmetics applications from moisturizing skin to nourishing hair.
Together with our broad emollient range, our new mapping tool can help identify alternatives for synthetic emollients, create new textures, deliver desired sensorial experience and help to meet your emollient phase goals.
Our mapping tool by design allows the user to select relevant criteria:
- Origin, Sustainability, Certifications
- Physico-chemical parameters (vary quantitatively per emollient)
- Quantitative performance data: TEWL, spreading, sensory (in-use/after-use)
- Application options
Polymer Mapping – Ingredient selection through the power of Artificial Intelligence
Leveraging Cargill‘s data science capabilities and combining them with AI-generated analysis, allows us to deeply research complex combinations of performance features to identify and prioritize derived natural* polymers for beauty applications. The ultimate goal of this approach is to map derived natural polymers across more than 10 different criteria to identify replacements for synthetic polymers. With this tool that highlights differences and comparing benefits will make ingredient selection easy and efficient.
