Cargill has been active in Morocco since 1997. Following the acquisition of Degussa's Food Ingredients business, we have approximately 120 employees located in three locations — Casablanca, Fez and Essaouira.
We have activities in the following areas in Morocco:
- Trading, distribution and storage of grains and oilseeds
- Risk management and technical services
- Specialty texturising ingredients
- Sales of sweeteners
Cargill investments in Morocco
2011 - Cargill has inaugurated its new grain and oilseed silo in Morocco. The US $15 million, 67,000-metric-ton storage facility is situated close to the port of Casablanca
2009 - Cargill invested in the 67,000 metric ton grain silo in Casablanca
2006 – Cargill acquired Degussa's Food Ingredients business, including its Moroccan sites in Fez and Essaouira
