Cargill has been active in South Africa since 1995; and, has around 100 employees in the country. Our South African operations are headquartered in Johannesburg.

Cargill Investments in South Africa

2007 - Cargill built an anaerobic digester on a pig farm in South Africa. The digester, which is the first in the country, converts pig effluent into power, and has been built at Humphries Boerdery Pty Ltd, a family-fun pig farm business, situated north of Johannesburg.
- 2004 – Cargill acquired the International Flavour House, The Duckworth Group, which included a food and beverage flavor distribution and manufacturing operation in Killarney Gardens, Western Cape
