Operating in Morocco since 1997, our role there is one of the major points of contact for food ingredient sales in the region. We have two facilities in Morocco where we process locally-sourced carob beans into locust bean gum, a texturizing ingredient for food applications. We have over 120 employees located in 3 locations; Casablanca, Fez & Essaouira.

2006 Cargill acquires Degussa’s food ingredients business, including its Moroccan texturizing sites in Fez and Essaouira.

Cargill in Morocco has supported Benslimane Orphanage since 2007 helping to provide for the material and educational needs of 70 children every year. Cargill’s support has enabled the children to have a safe place to live and to keep them in school, as well as helping to improve the infrastructure at the school, including the repair of classrooms.
