Corporate responsibility
Driving positive change through
corporate responsibility.
At Cargill corporate responsibility is part of everything we do. It is a process of continually improving our standards, our actions and our processes and extends not only to our own operations but to our wider communities.
As part of the Cargill family, we have comprehensive initiatives in place to make a positive and lasting impact on society and the environment. Cargill Kitchen Solutions is committed to doing things right and making things better when it comes to:
Business Conduct: All of our stakeholders operate under the direction of the Cargill Guiding Principles, laying the cornerstone for ethical conduct when dealing with customers, suppliers, the community and each other.
Environment: We are reducing our impact on the planet through:
- Energy conservation: by adding more efficient lighting and implementing other energy-saving initiatives, we’ve reduced electrical consumption 7.42% over previous years.
- Water conservation: we’ve changed our processes to reduce annual water usage by 6% and cut impurities in our effluent flow.
- Waste reduction: we’ve increased recycling by 12% and reduced our total waste output by 22% versus previous years; and 20-25% post consumer materials are used in our corrugated packaging.”

People: We have implemented comprehensive safety programs with detailed safety metrics at all facilities. We also promote health and wellness and work/life balance initiatives – from on-site exercise rooms to tuition reimbursement plans and more.
Community: We promote employee volunteerism and giving within the communities in which we operate, as well as corporate giving through matching grants. The events and programs we sponsor focus on three key areas: health and nutrition, innovation in education and protection of natural resources.
