Leonardo Aguiar

Executive Vice President, Specialized Portfolio

Leonardo Aguiar Leonardo Aguiar leads Cargill’s Specialized Portfolio and is a member of Cargill’s Executive Team.

This diverse growth portfolio is made up of businesses serving unique customers and markets, including Cargill’s Animal Nutrition & Health, Bioindustrial, and Deicing Solutions businesses, as well as Cargill joint ventures such as Wayne-Sanderson and Ardent Mills. He also oversees the company’s Procurement and Transportation organization. Together, these global teams include more than 20,000 employees across 45 countries focused on delivering world-class specialty solutions and customer outcomes.

Leonardo joined Cargill in 2003 as a Regional Trader for Agriculture & Trading South America. In 2008, he relocated to Geneva, where he held a series of global trading leadership roles across vegetable oils, soybeans, and soft seed product lines. In 2019, he led Agriculture & Trading’s global strategy development and rollout, and later served as Managing Director of Cargill Tropical Oils in Singapore. Most recently, Leonardo served as Group President for Cargill Agriculture & Trading North America.

Leonardo’s expansive career has included leadership roles across South America, Europe, Asia, and North America. He holds a degree in Economics and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
