Up until now, there had been a one-size-fits-all approach to these caramel white chocolates without much consideration for the nuanced wishes from the market. For example, 18%, of consumers prefer “delicate & dairy caramel” flavors, while at the other end of the scale 35% can be seen as “intense and salted caramel” lovers.** We can therefore deduce that more than 53% of consumers are not currently being directly catered to – until now!

These efforts have resulted in the Cargill Caramel Selection, a range of irresistible caramel sensorials made with uniquely blended ingredients and designed to deliver indulgent flavors like never before.  

These four types of caramel sensorials appeal to a broad range of consumer preferences and can be tailored to perfectly suit a variety of product categories or applications. They include new flavors and unlock new clusters that go beyond what is currently available on the market. In short, they’re the new gold standard for each consumer group out there. 

• Sweet Dream Caramel: 
  This light-colored chocolate delivers a sensorial experience close to a white chocolate with a nice caramel layer. It has a strong dairy profile with notes of butter and caramel, and a hint of honey and salt. Its texture is smooth and creamy, allowing consumers to experience the delicate delight of our lightest caramel sensorial. It appeals to “delicate & dairy caramel” lovers, who account for some 18% of the market and predominantly made up of 18+ women. 
• Butter-Fusion Caramel
  Discover buttery caramel bliss as salty sweetness and decadent richness unite, creating a velvety smoothness and rich texture that satisfies with every bite. This medium golden caramel option has a balanced profile of rich caramel and roasted notes, paired with an intense dairy experience. This creamy option appeals to 22% of the market who are defined as “round & buttery caramel” lovers. This is a 34+ more female-heavy consumer group. 
• Honeycomb Caramel
  Like Butter-Fusion, this is a more mainstream flavor profile. In this case it is somewhat harder and smoother in nature. It is a medium golden caramel option that has a balanced profile of rich caramel and roasted notes. It appeals to 25% of the market, who are “round & honey caramel” lovers, who tend to predominantly be male. 
• Bold Caramel
  This is the darkest member of the new range, with a toffee-like color. Experience its rich sensorial experience coming from the combination of roasted caramel flavor, mocha and salt, with hints of cocoa and bitter notes. This variant captures a big unmet need for 35% of the market who are “intense & salted caramel” lovers. These group of consumers includes both male and female providing an intense, robust caramel indulgent flavor.
